Emily In Paris season 6: key information

- Season 6 has been officially renewed by Netflix
- Filming and release dates are currently unknown
- Fans will likely be waiting until at least 2027 for new episodes
- Core cast is expected to return

Hooray! Emily in Paris season 6 was officially confirmed by Netflix on January 6, 2026 (you can catch up with the streamer's announcement video below).

Creator Darren Star said at a press conference before the release of season 5: "There’s a lot of places I’d love to visit. But I think the show organically [follows] the storyline. The show is Emily in Paris. It’s never going to permanently leave its home base. But if I can take the audience on a journey somewhere else, I would love that … [It’s] fun to think about.”

But after watching the season 5 ending, I've got my doubts about Paris being Emily's (Lily Collins) forever home. However, we're a long way off getting answers yet... here's everything we know about Emily in Paris season 6 so far.

Given that season 6 has only just been announced, and that season 5 was only released on December 18, 2025, I think we've got a little while to wait until we see new episodes.

If we're lucky, filming will start later in 2026, which likely means 2027 will be the earliest we get to watch season 6 for ourselves.

This all depends on Netflix's next updates, so watch this space.

Common sense tells us that the following cast members will return for Emily in Paris season 6:

  • Lily Collins as Emily Cooper
  • Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau
  • Ashley Park as Mindy Chen
  • Lucas Bravo as Gabriel
  • Samuel Arnold as Julien
  • Bruno Gouery as Luc
  • William Abadie as Antoine Lambert
  • Lucien Laviscount as Alfie
  • Paul Forman as Nico
  • Arnaud Binard as Laurent G.
  • Minnie Driver as Princess Jane
  • Bryan Greenberg as Jake
  • Michèle Laroque as Yvette

There's more of a question mark over Eugenio Franceschini, who plays Marcello. As we saw in the season 5 finale, he and Emily seemingly broke up for good, but his budding fashion brand exists in partnership with Agence Grateau.

While it's unlikely that Emily and Marcello will cross paths again romantically, the door remains open for him to return in a professional capacity. The same can be said for his mother, Antonia (Anna Galiena).

WARNING: spoilers for Emily in Paris season 5 ahead.

Even before season 6 was renewed, the show's future was clearly set in up in the season 5 finale.

We're on the precipice of Emily and Gabriel possibly getting back together, so this would be the main storyline to follow through with. Bravo's absence from season 5 will be noticed by fans, so there will likely be a demand to get him back on screen as much as possible.

Now he's invited her to join him in Greece, we could see more continental travel in future episodes.

Our other main storyline to pick up is Jane's new role at Agence Grateau. The team could just about stomach her during their time in Rome, but now they're back on home turf, Jane's Italian connections are completely useless. Can Sylvie cope sharing her leadership, and will Jane's injection of cash cause more chaos than good?

Other B-plots to pick up with include Mindy's engagement to Nico, Marcello's solo business and Emily's journey to finally running her own office.
