Lenovo Tech World at CES 2026 - all the news and updates as it happened at the Las Vegas Sphere
We were at the Las Vegas Sphere for Lenovo Tech World at CES 2026 - here's what we saw
As part of our CES 2026 coverage, we went along to the iconic Las Vegas Sphere for the Lenovo Tech World keynote.
Lenovo took over the iconic Las Vegas Sphere, with more than 10,000 people in attendance for the keynote.
Hosted by Lenovo CEO and Chairman Yuanqing Yang, and featuring guests such as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, AMD CEO Lisa Su, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan and many more, the keynote was quite the event - you can recap everything that happened below!
Welcome to our live coverage of Lenovo Tech World at CES 2026!
The party is set to kick off at 5pm PT, so we're still a few hours away, but stay tuned for all the latest build-up and news as it happens.
As a reminder, TechRadar is live across CES 2026 - you can follow our live blog here.
So what can we expect later today? The event will be hosted by Lenovo CEO and chairman Yuanqing Yang, who will doubtless have a lot to say, and a host of new products and services to unveil.
We know YY (as he is colloquially known) will be joined by a number of famous faces on stage, with the likes of Jensen Huang (Nvidia), Dr Lisa Su (AMD CEO), Lip-Bu Tan (Intel CEO) and Cristiano Amon (Qualcomm CEO) set to appear.
So as mad as it may seem, the queue for this evening's event has already begun, five hours before the show starts - it's going to be super popular!
But don't worry, we have some special dispensation to get in and settled nice and early...
Along with his technology industry friends, YY will also be welcoming some important partners on stage later on.
We know one of these will be Gianni Infantino, the head of FIFA, who has been in the headlines for a whole host of reasons recently.
With the World Cup 2026 spanning across the US, Canada and Mexico, it looks like Lenovo's involvement will be a key one.
I've been lucky enough to bag a room with a great view of the Sphere, and there are some very cool animations going on right now ahead of the keynote later on...
Are badges for tech conferences or keynotes still a thing? If they are...feast your eyes on this.
We're heading over to the Sphere soon for some secret pre-keynote briefings, but it'll be here before you know it.
If you'd like to watch along at home, the keynote will be live-streamed via the CES website, or Lenovo's own homepage.
After an epic queue experience that only a British person could endure, we are in and seated...and it's quite the view!
The second-largest screen in the world, broadcasting in 16k resolution and crystal clear audio, to around 14,000 people - it's quite a setting for a tech keynote.
The message of "smarter AI for all" is shown on the screen - another taste of what's to come, perhaps?
So with just under an hour to go until kick-off, does the staging give away anything about what we might expect during the keynote?
Well...in a word, no. It's very bare right now, with just a single desk on stage, sporting a single (presumably Lenovo) laptop.
But hey, it's the screen and the experience that should be the real star, right?
The Sphere is filling up - it'll definitely be a capacity crowd, ready to hear the latest news and updates - and to finish us off, a few songs from Gwen Stefani, who will be back at the Sphere with No Doubt in a few months for some reunion shows.
OK, here we go - it's showtime! Gary Shapiro, CEO and Vice Chair, Consumer Technology Association (the owner of CES) comes on to the stage for the introduction.
After a stunning Sphere display showing off the Earth and down into Las Vegas, the lights come up and Lenovo CEO and Chairman Yuanqing Yuan (also known at YY) takes to the stage.
YY welcomes us to an event where "AI will take center stage".
Each of us are using AI in different ways, he says, making it an incredibly personal experience, but one that can allow for limitless potential.
The physical and digital worlds are set to come closer together in the years to come, YY says - but there is no one size fits all solution.
Lenovo can help though, providing "personal AI" at your fingertips across devices, and enterprise AI, helping employees in all sectors, and public, hybrid AI.
It's time for our first guest of the evening - and it's a big one, as Jensen Huang, Nvidia CEO, joins YY on stage.
Lightly teasing his old friend about their age, Huang and YY highlight the importance of AI going forward.
Huang notes how, much like the past technological shifts of the last few decades, moving to AI is a logical next step, noting how applications are now built on AI, making it the foundational level for the next generation of applications.
Accelerated computing, with agentic AI on top, will be a major platform shift, Huang notes, with companies of all sizes shifting R&D budgets to focus on AI.
"This new industry is going to need new infrastructure," Huang notes, highlighting Nvidia's AI factories as the solution, built on the company's new Vera Rubin hardware.
YY notes that Lenovo and Nvidia's visions are aligned, and announces the launch of Lenovo's AI Cloud Gigafactory with Nvidia. Built on Rubin, it will provide a major step forward in terms of AI power - with Huang highlighting Lenovo's expertise in building many of the world's top supercomputers.
"This is another big leap in our partnership," YY declares, bidding farewell to Jensen Huang.
He now turns to AI Democratization, noting, "the power of AI should belong to you", and welcomes Tolga Kurtoglu, SVP, Chief Technology Officer, Lenovo, to the stage, to tell us more.
It's time for some product announcements - with the help of an AI co-host, who is already bringing the banter.
"The future of AI is a universe of AI models," Kurtoglu notes, highlighting how having multiple offerings can be a complex, but useful thing.
Lenovo's Intelligent Model Orchestration platform should help a lot with this, calibrating prefences for users, resulting in more effective AI all round.
A new Agent Core platform will let agents create more personalized, focuses outputs on your behalf, and employing multiple other agents to get the most out of their specailties.
Kurtoglu says this is a look at the true potential of AI - multi-agent collaboration in action - but more on that later.
YY returns, and it's time to talk personal AI.
We all have a lot of devices, meaning our key data and files are often spread around - but what if there was a solution?
Lenovo has just the thing - say hello to Qira. Spreading across phones, tablets, laptops and wearables, the AI platform offers a united front for all your data, meaning you can always get your hands on the information you need.
Qira "redefines what it means to have technology built around you", YY says - working across platforms and devices.
He welcomes Angelina Gomez, Head of Software Product Marketing, Motorola, to the stage, to tell us more.
Gomez talks us through a demo of what Qira can do, combining work and personal tasks using intelligent information retrieval.
It doesn't just answer, but understands all the information and devices around, she notes.
YY returns, with the focus now switching to our next guest, Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel.
Asked what the companies have planned next, Tan outlines how Lenovo is using Intel's Series 3 Core Ultra and Ultra X hardware in its upcoming products across workstations, laptops, mini PC, cloud and more.
Lenovo's new Aura edition PCs are a great example, YY notes, blending great intelligence and performance across the board.
Tan notes this is a major milestone in both company's journeys, with the two coming together to shape the future of PCs.
It's time for some new products...
To talk us through some of the new computing launches, we welcome Luca Rossi, EVP, President of Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo, to join the others on stage.
"We are shaping the future of AI", he declares, saying the company is "pioneering a new age of intelligence" with Qira, which "empowers your AI superpower".
"This is a technology which knows you," he says, asking us to think of soon having "our own AI twin".
"No-one is better positioned than Lenovo to help you embrace the change ahead."
New devices are coming across Lenovo's ThinkPad, Yoga and ThinkCentre brands, Rossi reveals, "so get ready - the best in AI PCs is here".
It's not just PCs though - Rossi also highlights the "incredible run" Motorola phones have been on.
To extend this, the company is launching the Motorola Razr Fold, which offers an 8.1in display, new AI features (including Qira of course) and all-day battery life.
Next up, we're moving on to another guest - Yusuf Mehdi, EVP, Consumer Chief Marketing Officer at Microsoft.
The two companies will be working together to bring Microsoft Copilot to Qira, providing the most advanced AI models and infrastructure wherever people integrate with their device.
Mehdi notes how the way we interact with our devices has changed, requiring a new generation of software.
This even extends to smartphones, meaning information can seamlessly switch across mobile to PC devices.
Mehdi leaves us, and it's time to talk about wearables, allowing for more fashionable and expressive devices.
Rossi outlines a new concept devices which can be worn as a pendant or a pin, becoming part of your daily life, becoming your personal assistant on the go.
YY is back with another big guest - Cristiano Amon, President and CEO, Qualcomm.
They're hear to talk about new AI-native devices, which could span from PCs to wearables - with Snapdragon power inside.
Amon talks about how excited he is for the new generation of devices, including intelligent wearables which are smarter than anything we've seen before.
This is a new mobile device category, Amon says, working alongside your smartphone, offering a huge opportunity for OEMs and businesses everywhere.
Humanity has already decided what accessories it likes, he adds - now it's up to the technology industry to merge with fashion firms to build this next generation.
After some huge predictions for the future of inteliigent wearables, Amon welcomes YY back on stage.
Now it's time for enterprise AI - introduced with a haptic video experience at the Hungarian Grand Prix, of all places.
Lenovo is a global technology partner of Formula 1, with YY explaininjg how it is the perfect example of using smart and effective technology, from hardware to AI solutions.
YY outlines how Lenovo's work in the enterprise infrastructure market remains incredibly strong, despite challenges, due to its strong work across traditional compute, cloud, AI and now - AI inferencing on-prem, which can give all kinds of businesses a unique advantage.
And more importantly, the right infrastructure will let Lenovo's hybrid AI offerings realize their potential, YY notes.
Our next mega guest is here to talk more on this - we welcome Dr Lisa Su, Chair & CEO, AMD, to the stage.
Su is here for more new announcements - the launch of Lenovo's new AI inferencing server, ThinkSystem SR675i, powered by the latest AMD EPYC processors.
Su talks us through more details around the partnership - noting "there is no one answer for AI."
Customers are asking for more every day, she notes, with Lenovo adopting AMD's new Helios rack infrastructure, what she calls, the blueprint for the new era of AI compute.
This should give customers a clear end-to-end path from on-prem workloads to distributed workloads - all powered by Lenovo, of course.
"We really are across all areas," Su notes.
It's time for more infrastructure talk - Ashley Gorakhpurwalla, EVP, President of Infrastructure Solutions Group, Lenovo, takes to the stage.
"Enterprise AI starts with data...every click is an interaction waiting to happen," he notes - but you need an infrastructure stack which can cope with every eventuality.
This is incredibly pertinent today, when AI needs to run and react instantly - so customers need flexibility, scalability and speed.
Lenovo has "the most inferencing-optimized portfolio" in the industry, he adds, introducing a host of new hardware and infrastructure products to the crowd.
To hear more about these high-intensity workloads, we welcome Jennifer Koester, President and COO of Sphere at Sphere Entertainment Co.
She outlines how using advanced technology across all facets of the audience experience has helped Sphere quickly become one of the most iconic entertainment venues in the world.
Lenovo is the key technology partner for Sphere Studios, the arm responsible with creating such amazing experiences, she notes, offering scalable and flexible technology across the business.
Koester highlights how Lenovo workstations "helps make the impossible, possible", turning raw data into detialed images, along with compositing and rendering.
Lenovo's hardware is vital for ensuring the quality of the experience, she says, introducing a video showing off how Sphere Studios is pushing the boundaries of what is possible today.
We're then treated to an incredibly detailed immersive video, showing sights from around the globe - but ending on the International Space Station.
Next up, Ken Wong, EVP, President of Solutions & Services Group, Lenovo, is here to talk about enterprise AI solutions.
Wong tells us how, despite all the advances - hardware isn't always enough - you also need the right software and tools, much like those provided by Lenovo AI services.
The Lenovo AI library also includes a whole host of pre-built solutions, allowing your business to get up to speed quicker than ever with AI.
Lenovo iChain offers a full end-to-end supply chain solution, giving your business full oversight into the process as it happens, no matter how detailed
It's so effective because the company uses it internally, Wong says.
Lenovo is also helping support businesses with AI-powered robotics, developed in house for tasks such as maintenance and repairs.
With the 2026 World Cup coming up this summer, Wong outlines a solution that Lenovo developed for FIFA in order to manage its huge amounts of raw data, a team of AI agents to search through this and deliver the data in seconds, helping players, coaches and media alike.
Sticking with football and FIFA, YY returns to the stage, and he has one final special guest - Gianni Infantino, President, FIFA.
Lenovo is providing a range of software and hardware solutions for FIFA, and Infantino is keen to stress how AI can help enrich the fan experience across the world.
Unsurprisingly, Infantino is pretty keen to big up the World Cup, which promises to be the biggest sports tournament ever.
FIFA and Lenovo are working hard to embrace "football AI", with a new AI knowledge assistant allowing democratized access to football data to all countries competing at the World Cup, along with boosts to referee technology and broadcast tools.
"Stay tuned, because more is coming," he says.
To finish off the theme, there's a new Motorola Razr World Cup 2026 edition - one for the collectors, maybe?
We're reaching the end now, with YY looking to wrap things up.
Hey Qira, what has been the highlights, he asks, inviting Angelina Gomez back on stage.
And with that, all the guest speakers return to the stage for what must be surely be one of the most high-profile line-ups ever seen at CES.
And that's a wrap! A packed and entertaining keynote all round, with plenty to digest and get through.
We're off for a well-earned snack, but thank you for joining us this evening, and stay tuned to TechRadar for all the latest CES 2026 news!
