Where to watch the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase
The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase was broadcast via Nintendo's official YouTube channel. You can see an embedded version of the video above.

I'm TechRadar's Gaming Editor, and it's my job to keep on top of all things Nintendo Switch 2. I've kept up with the console since it was just a whispered rumor, covering the many leaks ahead of reveal. Ahead of release, I attended official Nintendo events to test the console, and have spent countless hours playing a wide range of games on it since.
Live coverage as it happened
Hello everyone!
Welcome to the beginning of my Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase live coverage.
With the event set to kick off in just over an hour, I'm going to start by running down some of my biggest predictions...
We're expecting lots of Resi news
I just had a quick chat to our resident Resident Evil head and Staff Writer Isaiah what he thinks will be in store for survival horror fans.
"My second most anticipated game of 2026, Resident Evil Requiem, is fast approaching, with its launch set for February 27, and believe me, my hype levels are through the roof," he said.
"Based on all I’ve seen so far, Requiem has strong potential to be the best game in the Resident Evil franchise, and I’m expecting this Nintendo Direct to shed some more light on the game’s mysteries.
I suspect now could be our first true opportunity for a public demo alongside the release of a new trailer that reveals another major character or location. The game launch is only a few weeks away, and typically, Capcom releases its Resident Evil demos at least two weeks before each game arrives – and while the rumored PlayStation State of Play is set for next week, Capcom has only marketed Requiem via its own showcases, or those by Nvidia, and Nintendo thus far.
It would also be the perfect chance to showcase the game’s performance on the Switch 2 too!"
On the that subject...
Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem's performance, my colleague Josie recently went hands-on with the game at a Nintendo event and was very impressed with the quality of the port.
"In general, I didn’t notice any frame drops or performance issues at all in the demo; an impressive feat that’s a testament to the Switch 2’s capabilities, provided games have been well-optimized," she wrote.
"The majority of the credit, therefore, goes to Capcom for its ability to do said optimization, as well as its impressive RE Engine."
Hopefully Isaiah is right, and Capcom will be keen to show off just what it has achieved here with either a new trailer or demo later today.
If that wasn't enough, I'm expecting Village and 7 too
If Requiem is shown, then I would bet on at least a brief look at Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7: Biohozard too.
Both games were announced to be coming alongside Requiem as part of a mega all-in-one pack, so it makes sense to show them together - especially if they're the great ports we're anticipating.
The Duskbloods is a shoo-in
Nintendo Swich 2 exclusive The Duskbloods is also a game that I expect to appear.
We haven't heard too much about this FromSoftware developed multiplayer joint, but it's worth remembering that it's still set to release this year so marketing is likely to ramp up soon.
It was also a major title back in the initial Nintendo Switch 2 reveal direct, so it only makes sense that Nintendo would want to keep a spotlight on it with a shiny new trailer - especially now in its release year.
Latest Nintendo Direct rumor roundup
There aren't that many rumors regarding what might be in the upcoming Direct, though frequent speculator and YouTube creator 'NatetheHate' does have some ideas.
He suggests that Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: Refantazio, Monster Hunter Wilds, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Fallout 4, and Elden Ring (which was recently delayed for Switch 2) will all be featured later.
Many online are also hoping for the announcement of a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 port, though there doesn't seem to be any concrete evidence to suggest it's more likely than anything else.
Keep it PG and I'll endeavor to respond to every contribution and potentially even include some of them in this coverage.
Fallout 4's Switch 2 release might have just leaked
Our friends at GamesRadar are currently reporting that the Switch 2 release date for Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition has been leaked.
The port, which was announced earlier this year, will apparently launch on April 28, 2026. The proximity of this news to the upcoming Nintendo Direct is important, as it suggests that it will be one of the announcements today.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there will be a proper physical release, or even a Game-Key card version on store shelves, as publisher Bethesda has seemingly opted for a code-in-box format for this one.
The Nintendo Switch 2 release date for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has also appeared as part of the same leak. It will allegedly come out on May 12, 2026, so I would expect a release date trailer for this too.
This one will supposed be a Game-Key card product, which isn't ideal but at least some consolation for physical game collectors compared to Fallout 4.
The original Hollow Knight might come to Switch 2
Is Hollow Knight Silksong a bit too hard? Rejoice, because the more forgiving original Hollow Knight could be announced for Switch 2 later today.
Eurogamer has spotted a mention of Hollow Knight on Switch 2 via the PEGI rating board's website. It was only rated today, which suggests there might be an announcement imminently.
Let's wait and see if it appears in the Direct...
We're now just 15 minutes away from the start of the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase!
Grab a drink and get comfy; the show will be here before you know it.
If you have any last-minute predictions, it's your last chance to head to the comments and get them under the line.
The results are in
The results from my little poll earlier are in!
77% of you said that you would be watching the stream today, with 8% sitting on the fence with a 'maybe'.
To the 15% of you that said you weren't planning to watch it, don't worry - as you'll be able to follow along in text form here.
The stream has officially begun! Prepare yourself...
It's time for out first announcement! Nintendo is kicking things off with a cute little indie game called Orbitals! This was one that was announced back at The Game Awards I believe.
It's a space adventure focusing on two explorers, with split-screen play reminiscent of It Takes Two. I'm really liking the aesthetic, which seems inspired by '90s anime.
GameShare support has been confirmed, and we also got a release window of Summer 2026.
Now we're going to be looking at games for the original Nintendo Switch...
A new Paranormasight game called The Mermaids Curse. It's a mystery visual novel game with light puzzles and a lovely art direction.
It'll be out soon, February 19, with pre-orders open today.b
Now a new Captain Tsubasa game! It's Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters and seems like it has all the anime soccer action that you could possibly need.
It'll release later this year
Now we're switching to Nintendo Switch 2 titles with what looks like a survival horror game, Tokyo Scramble. It looks like it's very Dino Crisis inspired with Dinosaur enemies stalking a lone protagonist.
It's a Switch 2 exclusive, out in just six days!
An unexpected port now, with Viking survival game Valheim. We're seeing plenty of gameplay shots, with a mix of survival and building, and the performance looks pretty solid.
It will feature ten player online multiplayer, and come out in 2026.
As predicted it's that Hollow Knight port, with improved visuals and frame rates.
It's coming out later today! There will be an upgrade for existing owners.
eFootball: Kick Off now, a football game. What else is there to say, honestly.
A new trailer for upcoming RPG The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales up now, detailing some of its time-travel mechanics.
It'll be a June 18 launch.
An adorable little Bomberman collection now! Super Bomberman Collection Nintendo Switch 2 Edition containing multiple games from the series.
A digital version is out later today, and I'll definitely be picking it up!
Oooh, here's Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - the highly anticipated follow-up to Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
Performance looks good, but this only a trailer so it is hard to tell.
We'll know when it comes out on June 3 though!
Here's a game I'm really looking forward to: Pragmata. It's about a spaceman and a slightly creepy android girl trapped in a decaying space station.
It combines puzzle-based combat with third-person shooting and, judging by my brief hands-on time at a Capcom event last year, it's an incredibly fun formula.
It'll come out on April 24, 2026.
There will be a demo available later today if you want to give it a try. I'd definitely recommend it!
A quick look at Turok: Origins, a new entry in the long-running dino shooter series. Definitely a bit of a dinosaur theme today, with this and the earlier survival horror reveal.
It's slated for a Fall 2026 release window.
A Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch game now with Kyoto Xanadu. It seems like a follow-up to the action RPG Tokyo Xanadu, which got a Nintendo Switch port back in 2024.
The game features 3D RPG combat, plus some social simulation outside labyrinths.
It will release this summer.
A quickfire look at a series of anime games now, starting with Digimon Story Time Stranger. It's a Pokemon style RPG which will be available on July 10 for both Switch and Switch 2.
Then it's Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok. It looks like an enhanced port of the hugely popular action RPG from 2024, and will be out on July 9.
Now to Monster Hunter Stories 3 Twisted Reflection, a game we've already seen a fair amount about. We're getting a brief run-down of the story, a March 13 release date, and confirmation of a demo later today.
Retro heads rejoice! More Arcade Archives games are coming, starting with Rave Racer.
A new Console Archives series has also been revealed, which will presumably focus on console games rather than arcade ones. The first two titles in it launch later today.
A quick-fire montage now showing off the following games:
- Scott Pilgrim EX - Switch and Switch 2 - March 3, 2026
- Another Eden Begins Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Switch and Switch 2 - Summer 2026
- Reanmial - Switch 2 - February 2026
- WWE 2K26 - Switch 2, preorer today - March 13, 2026
- Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown - Switch 2 - Feb 18, 2026, preorder today
- Disney Dreamlight Valley - Switch and Switch 2 - March 25, 2026
- PGA Tour 2k25 - Switch 2 - February 6
- Culdcept Begins - Switch and Switch 2 - July 16
- Goat Sim 3 - Switch 2 - April 1, preorder today
- Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Switch 2 - March 16, preorder today
- Tales of Arise - Beyond the Dawn Edition - Switch 2 - May 22
Ooh, it's time for a new Resident Evil Requiem trailer. We're seeing some exploration gameplay as Grace, and then a little bit of combat as Leon.
This looks like the first few hours of the game, which I recently played at a Capcom event.
We're seeing some features explained too, with the multiple points of view and assist options.
This is definitely Switch 2 gameplay too, as the hair quality and resolution is definitely a step down from other platforms.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village were mentioned too, with all three games coming out on February 27.
We also got a look at two Resident Evil Requiem amiibo. I'll be honest, they look a little scuffed... Hopefully they're not too pricey when they eventually release.
Todd Howard on screen! This is not a drill!
He's here to introduce Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, which will indeed on April 28. You can definitely tell the graphics are a step down with this one, as the detail in the open world has definitely recieved a bit of a beating.
Now we're getting Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as expected. It looks like a nice port, especially considering how demanding the game is on other platfornms.
Here's a surprise! The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is heading to Switch 2 in 2026.
This isn't something that I was expecting at all, so I'll take it!
I'm definitely interested to see how this one runs, as I found the performance on PC and PS5 to be pretty underwhelming.
What did you think?
All things considered, I thought that was a pretty underwhelming partner showcase. Sure, ports like Oblivion Remastered were nice - but there weren't that many truly new announcements.
At least some of the smaller games, particularly Orbitals, look great. If I had to give the show an overall score though, it's probably a 4/10.
What did you think? Let me know how you would rate it in the poll below.
The results of that latest poll are not looking great for Nintendo, with the majority (22%) of responders so far opting to score the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase just 1/10!
That seems a bit drastic, but I do understand the frustration.
The poll has now been live for just over two hours, with hundreds of answers recorded so far. The consensus is still very much where it was earlier though, with the vast majority of responders (now 37%) rating the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase a disappointing 1/10.
2/10 was the second most popular score, closely followed by 3/10. While there have been a few rogue 10/10s, only one person has picked 9/10.
There's still time to vote, as the poll will be live until tomorrow so make sure you share your thoughts if you haven't yet.
Why are people so disappointed? I obviously can't speak for everyone, but for me the lack of truly new titles announced was definitely a let down.
Only five or so titles that weren't previously announced elsewhere were shown.
Sure there were lots of fresh ports, which are basically entirely new games if you only own a Nintendo system, but for anyone with another console or a PC it was a lot of things we've seen before.
The lack of some anticipated games like The Duskbloods also stings. Hopefully its absence means that Nintendo is saving news on that for a dedicated showcase later this year.
And with that, I'm going to head off for the evening.
Thanks for following along with my coverage throughout the day. I'm sure I'll see you again at the next one!
Before I go, though, I just want to give you a quick heads up that PlayStation announced a new Horizon game on social media while all the Direct excitement was in full swing.
It's not coming to Nintendo platforms, but you can learn all about it below if you're interested.
