My favorite laptop ever – the MacBook Air M2 – just hit an all-time low price in this Black Friday deal
Quite simply one of the best laptops I've ever used
WIth the Black Friday deals in full swing, it's inevitable I'll write about a deal on my favorite laptop of all time: the MacBook Air M2. RIght now you can get the MacBook Air M2 for $699 at Best Buy (was $999) and in the UK the MacBook Air is on sale for £699 (was £999) at Argos.

I really think that at under $700 / £700 there's no better laptop you can buy, unless you really hate macOS. Now I'm a tad biased as I use the MacBook Air M2 myself, in fact I'm using it to write this very article, but this little machine hasn't let me down; I paid its full launch price (some £1,600) in the UK, so at way south of $1,000 / £1,000 it's a real bargain.

Today's best MacBook Air M2 Black Friday deal
Display - 13.6 inches
Processor - Apple M2
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 256GB
Newer M3 and M4 models are now available, but this is an unbelievable price for the MacBook Air 13-inch with an M2 chip. While it's an older version, it remains an incredibly powerful laptop for those requiring a premium powerhouse for school, productivity, coding, or creative work. You also get double the amount of RAM at 16GB (than, for example, a base Air M3), although the 256GB of storage feels a little paltry in 2025. Still, we rated it highly in our MacBook Air M2 review, thanks to the stylish design, clear display, impressive performance, and long 18-hour battery life.
Display - 13 inches
Processor - Apple M2
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 256GB
This version of the older MacBook Air M2 with 16GB of RAM is down to a new low price at Argos. Even though we're up to the MacBook M4 now, this version with the M2 chip remains an excellent all-rounder, especially for day-to-day tasks such as browsing the internet and word processing, and it also has the power for more demanding creative and productivity tasks. Ultimately, you'll struggle to find a better value Apple laptop than this right now. You can also get this £300 off deal at Currys.
So why do I love the MacBook Air M2 despite there being more recent models? Well its compact size is brilliant for traveling, its design just looks great even with that display notch, the display is wonderful for an LCD panel, the M2 chips still offers buckets of performance for everyday tasks, and the machine simply sips power meaning I regularly use it away from a power source.
Heck, I even think the MacBook Air M2 is a solid little gaming machine these days. In fact, my problem is I think the MacBook Air M2 might be too good, to the extent that Apple has merely iterated upon it over the past two generations.
TechRadar's best laptops list is full of really good portable computers that our experts have tested, reviewed and chewed over. But there's a reason why MacBooks top the list: they are basically unbeatable. And at the prices above in the Black Friday deals, I think the M2 model is the front runner when it comes to getting a great bargain.

The cheapest MacBook you can buy is exclusively available at Walmart, the Apple MacBook Air M1, for just $599. Not only is this an outstanding price for such a powerful laptop that still holds up great for 2025, but this could be the last chance to pick one up now that it's officially discontinued. Don't miss this incredible deal if you're looking for a great bang for the buck MacBook.
Display - 13.6 inches

The MacBook Air 13-inch (M4) is the newest version of Apple's popular laptop, and it's down to a record-low price at Amazon's early Black Friday sale. You get a great-looking 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, while the boost to 16GB of RAM keeps all your programs running smoothly. It's just a shame Apple still insists on only 256GB of storage as standard, which feels a little miserly in 2025. Nevertheless, this is still one of the best laptops you can buy if you need a performance powerhouse for productivity and creative tasks.
